Style… Fashion…
Style… Fashion…
Style… Fashion… Neither something I would consider myself any kind of expert at. There are a few things that an outfit has to check off my list before I strut out the door in it.
My 5+ year ago self would have worn things because of what people said or thought. My 5+ year ago self would have worn things that were incredibly uncomfortable just for the sake of what others might have said or thought. Those days have long gone amigos. After a little self awareness, head space clearage (yall will soon find that I make up words often : ), and probably just age. If it ain’t comfortable I’m probably not wearing it. Black and brown absolutely go together. Why can’t everything have pockets? Silver, gold, and rose gold can all mix and match. Less makeup is sometimes more. A backpack just makes more sense. You can never own too many jeans and T-shirts. And sometimes wrinkles add a little something extra.
My 30’s have by far been better then my 20’s and I’m more me than I’ve ever been and comfort in style and knowing what I feel comfortable in has been so important in me finding my “style”. Understanding and realizing that just because something looks great on someone else doesn’t mean that I will feel great in it. And that’s OK! I can NOT pull off high waisted linen pants/shorts yall. I just freaking can’t. And that makes me sad because I have seen so many adorable ones on adorable girls. But sheesh, not this gal. Not happening. Stick to what you feel good in. It doesn’t mean that you can’t switch it up every now and then.
