Buyers remorse? Meh..maybe next time
“You get what you pay for”. I’m not always sure this is the case. I have paid top dollar for some things that have lasted weeks.
Now, I consider myself a bit of a cheap ass when it comes to a lot of things. The older I get the worse it seems to get, but that is a whole other blog post. Cheap ass aside, there are a few things in my wardrobe that I splurge for, and running/workout gear in 2019 was DEFINITELY ONE OF THEM. These shoes that I talked about researching and purchasing in my last post WERE NO exception. But y’all, there really is just something to be said about a a good, quality, doesn’t show my booty when I bend over leggings that I just can’t seem to find in a cheaper legging. Or sports bras for instance. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that I don’t need a lot of support in that area. But just because my boobs don’t need the support doesn’t mean the rest of my body doesn’t. So why should I get the cheap, flimsy, not supportive sports bra? Ok, rant over.
Then there’s running shoes. For me, they change everything… health, running, comfort, style. I’ve put hundreds of miles on my Brooks running shoes, and this new pair NO DOUBT put on more. These Adidas Ultraboost were all the rage recently and I won’t know for sure until I put them to the running test tomorrow.
I usually decide whether or not I’m going to make a purchase after I’ve asked myself a few questions.
How often will I use said item?
Did I do all the research to make sure this is exactly what I want and i can’t get it at a better price anywhere else?
Do I need it NOW or is there a better time to fit it in the budget?
And the last question probably won’t apply to yall buuuut
Will Kyle Bandy kill me if I buy this now? (NO? JUST ME? lol)
If I checked all of these boxes then it’s usually a go. My point though I think, sorry it took so long to get here, is that we all have things that are important to us. Things that other people may not understand you spending “too much” money on. Let’s extend everyone a little GRACE this 2020 y’all.
