to see or not to see…

real or fake?

This was not a ‘planned’ blog. Once upon a time glasses were not something ‘cool’ or necessarily desirable. They definitely weren’t something someone would grab on their way out to change a look. They weren’t something you would want to go spend money on. And they definitely were hard to find with a budget in mind. And then. what if you actualy have god awful vision? The “trendy factor” wasn’t really a thing. Ya girl just wanted to be able to see.

FAST FORWARD

What is this world? Where I can get get a glasses and contact prescriptions at Walmart optometry center, with NO VISION insurance, for under $150 bucks. I can take those prescriptions, go online and buy contacts/glasses and have them SHIPPED TO ME. Not only that, but I can go online, upload a photo of myself, and see what the frames will look like on me before clicking the purchase button. I can get a pair of frames and PRESCRIPTION lenses for under $30 dollars. Oh and did I mention, if something goes wrong, even if it was definitely my error, I can contact customer service and deal with the most amazingly kind representation. And I can get get glasses now that require no script just to block out blue light that can cause my vision to deteriorate faster. Who knew once upon a time, glasses weren’t ‘cool’ . Proud to be a long standing member of that club. I’ve linked some of my current faves and a couple I’ve had my eyes on.
